The Glass Box

Our clients wanted to improve the layout of their Grade II listed 1840s home. We proposed a glass extension to the rear, in accordance with English Heritage guidelines, and opened the rooms of the lower ground floor to create a large kitchen and entertaining space with light and character.

Contemporary, handleless cabinetry was installed in contrasting white matt and rich walnut. With a peninsular unit at the centre of the room, the kitchen was fitted with top-end appliances from Miele, including a steam oven and wine fridge. During the planning process, we also gained permission to extend the rear Victorian extension upwards by one floor to create a new shower room.
